Job Purpose:
- Providing day-to-day piping engineering activities and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.
General Description:
Directly reporting to Engineering Manager / Lead Piping Engineer with the major responsibilities as followings:
- In charge of the preparation of the deliverables as per project requirement and schedule in a cost effective manner when assigned by Lead Piping Engineer.
- Perform piping calculation, compile all piping deliverables (Reports, Datasheets, Specifications, Layouts, Drawings, etc).
- Support the Senior Piping Engineer in ensuring quality and delivery of piping engineering design.
- Ensure alignment with other disciplines on the development of piping documents and drawings.
- Assist the Lead Piping Engineer in ensuring good quality design outputs as per appropriate international codes, regulations, standards, practices and relevant procedures.
- Implementing other assignments as required by Engineering Manager / Lead Piping Engineer.
Qualifications and Work Experience required:
Qualification:
The jobholder should hold a Bachelor Degree in Piping or closely related Engineering.
Experience & Requirements:
- A minimum of 05 years of experience in oil and gas including design, construction and/or modification of major offshore piping system.
- Good knowledge of design, construction, testing and installation of offshore piping systems in offshore platforms.
- Good knowledge of onshore fabrication sequences/methods and offshore piping structure installation/transportation methods.
- Deep understanding of applicable Codes, Standards and certification requirements for offshore facilities, particularly relating to safety of design.
- Must be a skilled used of S3D, Autocad. Working knowledge of proprietary piping analysis software (i.e. Ceasar II).
- Must be a skilled used of S3D, Autocad.
- A good command of English both verbal and written.
- Have ability to organize own work and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work in team environment.
