Scope of work:

  • Organize the production, arrange and administer the welding inspector, welding engineer, supervisors,
    foreman, production team leader to perform the work of the project and subcontractors and weld-related
    procedures from visible in the workshops/area and that the welder is sufficiently trained and instructed to
    follow the procedure at all times during manufacturing.
  • Responsible for technical, safety, quality, volume, progress and efficiency of the assigned work. Check
    drawings, technical documents, handle issues and technical problems of the work in charge related to
    welding. Developing and/or updating any and all procedures with WQP which are needed to cover all
    Welding and Related Process activities as well as the manufacturing; Closely and synchronically coordinate
    with Engineering, Welding Lead and QAQC team to supervise and control fabrication/assembly quality.
  • Participate in development of the construction plans for the assigned tasks related to welding.
  • Analyze critical points to have appropriate coordination of resources, and equipment in order to serve
    fabrication safely and effectively with high quality.
  • Perform other related job roles in the project and other jobs as assigned by Jacket Completion
    Manager/Deputy Jacket Completion Manager.
  • Synthesize plans and propose resource needs for the PMT to balance, arrange, and mobilize appropriately
    and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and check the daily public report, daily work diary of the welding inspector/ supervisors/ foremans/
    subcontractors for timely arrangement and adjustment. Proposing PMT to timely and properly reward/
    discipline groups and individuals with achievements and shortcomings. Participating in trade, controlling
    materials according to the construction process of the project. Coordinate with other departments related
    to the assigned work, promptly solve problems and requirements arising in the course of project
    implementation. Check and evaluate the proposal of the subcontractor, which relates to structure, so as to
    accurately propose manpower, consumable materials, and equipment, ensure that any Subcontractor has
    all the necessary resources and hardware to fulfill the scope of work.
  • This includes but is not limited to ensuring the right equipment, production set-up and education and
    training of employees with a view to ensuring the required knowledge level and skills. Propose appropriate
    plans and timetables for work of structural fabrication/ assembly. Propose to Engineering discipline to issue
    appropriate and accurate drawings (ex: related to site changes/field changes and queries related to the
    work in charge…). Propose ideas and methods for improving work efficiency and quality. Implement and
    monitor the norm of labor and consumables. Prepare work reports at the request of the Project Board.
    Responsible for ensuring Safety – Health – Environment & Saving – Anti-waste
  • Seize relevant and essential knowledge and have the responsibility to ensure the safety of manpower and
    equipment. Acquire and reflect ideas to the authority so as to improve the working environment and
    preserve the life and the health of themselves and their colleagues. Detect and prevent the risk of safety
    loss, health damage and environmental pollution in not only the internal discipline but also relevant working
    areas. Make sure any documentation from the Subcontractor is available to the Engineer whenever
    requested and that such documentation is in accordance with Employer’s requirements. Make an overview
    and organization Chart, which includes the Subcontractors name, the subcontract’s independent NDT
    contractor, and the Subcontractor’s scope of work. The scope description and organization chart must be
    a part of the WQP; Schedules, coordinates, completes and mataisns examination, inspection, test plans
    and quality control records with project management and client representatives; Assures implementation of
    job site Q.C. Program.
