Project Manager

Job Description

  • Manage and direct Project teams by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet Project goals and objectives; ensure project scope or work, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.
  • Manage and oversee the output from the engineering, constructability, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams from detail design through commission and start up. Maintain the Project budget for delivering the Project within the budget defined
  • Serve as Joint Venture’s project representative with Clients, Subcontractors, and Vendors at Kick-Off meetings, job walks, Project reviews, and other meetings and correspondence.
  • Establish Project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all engineering work; determine and oversee all Project controls, schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure Project procedures are followed.
  • Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in Project scope, budget and/or schedule.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations, or adjust Project deliverables to meet Client needs.
  • Ensure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice and applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirements
  • Develop and implement risk control measures that have been identified as part of the risk assessment process

Requirements

  • Qualification: BS or above in Instrumentation / Automation / Control major
  • At least 15 years of experience in management & coordination in Greenfield and Brownfield Oil and Gas projects.
  • Experience working in an engineering services and construction environment, with experience in EPCI projects.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to interpret needs and express ideas clearly.
  • Superior customer service skills with the ability to deliver results according to client specifications.
  • Able to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
  • Efficient organizational skills with the ability to thrive well in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Strong MS Office skills; Proficient with scheduling software, Primavera P6, MS project or similar.
  • Professional Engineer registration preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred.
