JOB DESCRIPTION
- Conduct market research to find means/equipment with suitable technical specifications
- Perform on-site surveys and assess the technical condition
- Coordinate in preparing tender documents and clarify technical aspects during the bidding process
- Participate in project implementation (as a project engineer): Involved in reviewing and approving designs; establish technical requirements, evaluate technical aspects of procurement packages for materials and equipment; supervise contractors in constructing the hull; report regularly and timely on the status and progress of work;
- Supervise and check the technical reports of the operating units
- Collaborate with the operating units to assess the technical condition of equipment during operation, routine maintenance and repair, and incidents
- Coordinate with the operating units to implement and supervise the technical aspects of periodic maintenance, major equipment replacement and repair, and incident repairs
- Develop plans and coordinate with partners to conduct regular and ad-hoc audits on offshore floating units, ensuring that systems operate safely and effectively, maintain and extend the lifespan of assets; propose solutions and system improvements
- Monitor and manage the repair work for incidents, major repairs of equipment on floating storage units like FSO, FPSO, MOPU
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Department/Division leadership.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduated from a regular university program or higher in at least one of the following majors: Ship Hull or Shipbuilding.
- Knowledgeable about Vietnamese and International Marine Inspection standards, regulations, and related International Maritime Conventions.
- Experience in ship design, new construction, and repair.
- English: TOEIC 600 or equivalent
- English Communication: Fluent.
- Technical English: Able to understand specialized documents.
- At least hold a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Outlook and specialized software such as AutoCAD
- Expertise in ship technical supervision and management
- Training courses in bidding procedures, business law, and construction law
- Training courses in the use of specialized software
- Management systems according to ISO 9001 standards
- Occupational safety training in production.
- Capable of designing, calculating structures, and selecting equipment for ship systems according to regulations
- Knowledge and experience in equipment layout and ship architectural arrangement
- Familiar with standards and regulations for materials and equipment installed on ships
- Clear understanding of the policies and regulations of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and relevant state laws
