Lifting Engineer

General Description:

• Responsible for Offshore Project Lifting activities within the project planning and execution phase.
• Operational point of contact to Global Head of Lifting in line within the Siemens Matrix for Lifting Operations.
• Construct safe systems of work by writing Lift Plans using given information and be able to draw, understand and implement AutoCAD drawings for Lifting purposes.
• Manage the offshore project lifting activities, loadout and installation, with external companies and internal departments and resource providers, towards the effective implementation of project program and contract requirements.
• Maintain and develop effective communication channels with various stakeholders to ensure the safe and effective execution of the lifting plan.
• Be part of new developments in offshore Wind lifting methods

Qualifications and Work Experience required:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical engineering or a strong Technician background. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with lifting operations either from offshore or onshore wind farm projects. 
• Have experience in working with AutoCAD or something similar. As an individual you have an analytical and problem-solving mindset to overcome challenging tasks throughout the process. 
• Fluent English language skills.
• Experience working with heavy and small machined fabricated parts, with solid background in working with suppliers. Deep domain on welding, NDT, coating/painting.
