JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for the quality and progress of the assigned P&M (Piping & Mechanical) portion of the project
- Participate in the project as a Project Engineer/ Pipeline Mechanical Engineer
- Join the bidding team, understand the P&M-related documents in the tender dossier, breakdown bid quantities, prepare P&M technical specifications, and evaluate the technical aspect of bids from Bidder/Vendor to complete the tender dossier as per schedule
- Participate in detailed planning for the P&M portion to ensure the overall project schedule
- Study documents, standards, and prepare templates for the project to execute P&M tasks
- Perform MTO for P&M section, consumables, labor/machinery for manufacturing and testing pipeline systems and mechanical equipment
- Prepare technical specifications, participate in technical evaluations for packages as assigned by the Team Leader
- Conduct/coordinate the VDR and VDI processes
- Participate in inspecting and monitoring procurement packages
- Execute technical drawings:
- Piping: Isometric, Pipe Support Drawings, Cutting Plan, etc.
- Mechanical: Equipment Installation Drawings, Equipment Layout, Safety Layout.
- Update and modify drawings as per VDR, VDI, and construction process
- Check and report on design and manufacturing changes. Propose additional material purchases for repair/modification
- Prepare manufacturing and installation procedures for P&M
- Participate in dividing and preparing Hydrotest Packages
- Contribute to the Weight Control Report for the P&M section
- Prepare STQ for design and manufacturing changes in P&M
- Create As-built drawings and documents for the project
- Calculate variations outside the contract scope of work
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Department/Division leadership.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduated from a regular university program or higher in at least one of the following majors: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Ship Hull, Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in P&M design/construction, having directly participated in at least one major EPC project in oil and gas or heavy industry as a Pipeline Mechanical Engineer.
- English: TOEIC 600 or equivalent
- English Communication: Fluent.
- Technical English: Able to understand specialized documents.
- Minimum achievement of the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent;
- Proficient in Acad, PDMS, internet, and other specialized software.
- Courses on design & use of specialized P&M software: PDMS, CeasarII, PVElite;
- Management skills, Organizational and management skills in design & construction
- Bidding processes
- Management systems according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Deep understanding in the P&M field, well-versed in standards applicable in the design process. Clear understanding of tender dossier requirements, project scope of work. Industrious and proactive attitude. Clear understanding of the policies and regulations of the Corporation, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, and related state laws
