Job Purpose:
Offshore Suction Bucket Fabrication managers are responsible for overseeing the fabrication process of a product or service. They ensure that all steps in the fabrication process are completed correctly and on time, while also ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the entire process.
Offshore Suction Bucket Fabrication managers may work with many different types of materials during their day-to-day activities. This could include metals, plastics, wood, glass, etc. Regardless of what they’re working with, their job is to make sure that everything gets fabricated correctly and on time.
General Description:
- Oversee all aspects of the fabrication process, from design to delivery
- Work with clients and sales staff to determine project scope and specifications
- Prepare cost estimates for materials and labor
- Create production schedules and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise employees, including setting work schedules and assigning tasks
- Inspect completed products and resolve any issues
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Keep abreast of new developments in fabrication techniques and technology
- Stay within budget constraints
- Meet deadlines
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
Qualifications and Work Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
- 5+ years experience in a management role within a offshore suction bucket fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve production goals
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and practices
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
