Job Purpose:

  • Providing day-to-day Naval engineering activities and ensure timely completion to the required quality standards.

General Description:

Directly reporting to Lead Naval Engineer and/or Engineering Manager with the major responsibilities as followings:

  • In charge of the preparation of the deliverables as per project requirement and schedule in a cost effective manner when assigned by Lead Naval Engineer.
  • Perform loadout, transportation and installation engineering calculations (Vessel Stability, strength, trim, sea-keeping, mooring and motion analyses), compile all naval deliverables (Reports, Specifications, procedures, Drawings, etc.).
  • Assist the Lead Naval Engineer in ensuring good quality design outputs as per appropriate international codes, regulations, standards, practices and relevant procedures.
  • Implementing other assignments as required by Engineering Manager / Lead Naval Engineer.

Qualifications and Work Experience required:

Qualification:
The jobholder should hold a Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or closely related Engineering.

Experience & Requirements:

  • A minimum of 05 years of relevant experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Has minimum 03 years of Naval design experience for offshore facilities.
  • Good knowledge of load-out, transportation and installation of offshore structures (complex topsides/jackets or higher scale).
  • Good  knowledge of onshore fabrication sequences/methods   and      offshore structure installation/transportation methods.
  • Good understanding of applicable Codes, Standards and certification requirements for offshore facilities, particularly relating to safety of design.
  • Effectively interface and liaison with ABS, DNV, Noble Delton and other regulatory agencies.
  • Experienced in Finite Element Analysis and naval architectural software programs (SACS, MOSES, etc)
  • A good command of English both verbal and written.
  • Have ability to organize own work and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
