Job Purpose:

  • Project Planner is responsible for assuring all planning personnel and Contractors are providing accurate forecast dates, progress values and schedule management in accordance with the procedures and contract requirements. Project Planner will be the focal point of all schedule MOC’s reviews and assessment of claims / recovery plans.
  • Timely reporting project progress, essential matters, major risks and impacts to Project. And, duly following all requirements and instructions from higher management.
  • Planning and cost control of the development project.

General Description:
Reporting to Engineering Manager with the major responsibilities as followings:

  • Accountable to the Engineering Manager on matters concerning planning, scheduling risk analysis, trending, reporting.
  • Defines scheduling internal and external interfaces with PMT and other external parties.
  • Proactively develops relationships, identifies opportunities to add value, and engage team members as needed with PMT, NIPI’s staff and Contractor’s personnel.
  • Provides resource planning and project schedules to project cost controllers.
  • Coordinates schedules from Construction Team and ensures updated information and progress are incorporated into the Project’s Master Integrated Schedule.
  • Monitors and forecasts progress of engineering activities. Highlight problem areas and recommend remedial actions. Informs PMT of schedule risk items / potential delays.
  • Evaluates critical paths in the project schedules and evaluate alternative schedule options to identify optimum project strategies or resolve problems before and during execution.
  • Develops and implements plan versus actual progress curves. Reports and analyses weekly deviations from plan. Evaluates allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.
  • Liaises with PMT leaders to communicate required completion dates and interfaces between responsible parties.
  • Prepares and issues updated project schedules and Milestone summaries for regular reporting cycles.
  • Ensure that all planning and scheduling processes, methods and systems are functioning in accordance with the requirements and expectations defined by internal procedures.
  • Participate in and be the mentor for R&EI-VSP on-job training program.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the Project Manager/ Engineering manager.

Qualifications and Work Experience required:
Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

Experience & Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in oil and gas including upstream project design and technical support. At least 3 years of relevant experience (project Engineer or higher) in undertaking offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Well-developed skills in analysis, planning, communication, organization and interpersonal relationships, reporting and supervising.
  • Good understanding of engineering, procurement, construction and installation sequence of offshore oil & gas projects.
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Good skill in Microsoft Office, planning software
